Way Jambu – "Sumatra Pipe"

Way Jambu – "Sumatra Pipe"

Known locally as Way Jambu and internationally as the Sumatra Pipe, this wave is a heavy, hollow, freight-train of a left. It's not for the faint of heart — Way Jambu is a serious wave for serious surfers. Often compared to Pipeline in Hawaii, it delivers thick, barreling sections over shallow reef and demands full commitment.
Wave Overview
• Type: Left-hand reef break
• Level: Advanced to Expert
• Best Swell Direction: South to Southwest
• Ideal Wind: Northeast
• Tide: Mid to High
